As Managing Director of R&D at Conceivable, Gerardo Silva brings over 20 years of experience in product development across automotive, military, and health industries. Throughout his career, Gerardo has demonstrated expertise in software development, electrical design, systems engineering, project management, innovation, and corporate strategy. 

Prior to joining Conceivable, Gerardo established his engineering leadership at two global giants: Hella Automotive, where he led significant engineering projects, and Continental AG, where he ran a 2000 person R&D Strategy and Innovation group . Together, these companies represent over $25 billion in market capitalization and manufacture critical original equipment—from lighting, electronics and brake systems to autonomous driving tech and automotive safety systems—for every major global automotive brand including Volkswagen Group (VW, Porsche, Audi), BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ford, General Motors, Toyota, and Honda. 

Gerardo's engineering career began at the drone manufacturer Hydra Technologies, where he led R&D engineering and implemented autopilot systems, altitude control software, and sophisticated navigation applications. 

Gerardo's commitment to technological advancements and operational excellence extends beyond his corporate roles and he has played crucial roles in defining open innovation and collaboration programs between government, industry, and academia.
